In short
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or third-party profiling. We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us, we use it only to answer you and deliver work you have asked for, and we do not sell it to anyone.
1. Who we are
Capstone Tek ("we", "us", "our") is a technology company registered in the United States, with offices at 3510 Hobson Road, Suite #204, Woodridge, IL 60517, USA. For any question about this policy or about personal information we hold, contact support@capstonetek.com or call +1 (984) 355-9541.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the capstonetek.com website and the enquiry channels it offers. Where we build and host a page for a client — a product verification page, a digital business card profile, a review landing page or an event page — that page is operated on the client's behalf and the client is the controller of any personal data collected through it. We act as a processor and handle that data only on the client's instructions.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form, email us or call us, we receive the information you choose to provide: typically your name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number, the product line you are interested in, and the content of your message. The enquiry form on this site works by opening your own email application with a pre-filled message — the submission is sent from your email account, not through a third-party form service.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server log data for every request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, HTTP status, referring page and browser user-agent string. These logs exist for security and diagnostics and are retained for a limited period.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, heatmaps or session recording on this site. If we add any analytics in future, this policy will be updated before it goes live and, where consent is required, we will ask for it.
Embedded content
The contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find our office, and the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When these load, your browser contacts Google's servers and Google receives your IP address and user-agent under its own privacy policy. We do not receive anything from these services. If you would prefer not to contact Google's servers, you can block the map frame and font requests in your browser.
4. Why we use your information
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK/EU GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and providing a quote | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract |
| Delivering a project you have engaged us for | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping records of quotes, orders and correspondence | Legitimate interests; legal obligation for accounting records |
| Keeping the site secure and diagnosing faults | Legitimate interests in operating a secure service |
| Sending occasional updates, if you have asked for them | Consent, withdrawable at any time |
5. What we never do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We do not share enquiry details with third parties for their own marketing.
- We do not build advertising profiles or run behavioural retargeting from this site.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
- We do not write personal data onto NFC tags. A tag holds a link and a chip identifier, nothing more.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only where it is necessary to run the business, and only with providers bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms:
- Hosting and email providers, which process data on our behalf.
- Production partners, where artwork or an encoding list must be sent to manufacture your order. We send the minimum required.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, where required.
- Authorities, where we are legally obliged to disclose.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers are principally located in the United States. If you contact us from the UK, EEA or elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses with our processors.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client project records: for the life of the engagement and then as required for accounting and legal purposes, typically seven years.
- Server logs: a short rolling period set by our hosting provider.
- Event guest data collected through a hosted event page: held for the agreed period after the event and deleted on request.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have equivalent rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
To exercise any right, email support@capstonetek.com. We will respond within one month, and we will not charge you for a reasonable request. If you are unhappy with our response and you are in the UK or EEA, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
10. Security
All pages are served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry and client data is restricted to the people who need it. Hosted pages we build for clients are served over TLS, and tag memory is locked after encoding so stored links cannot be altered. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information and we are required to notify you.
11. Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and will revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be made clear before they take effect.
A note on this document
